Summer is close

Update: Fukmi is having a special 50% sale on red and blue items in her main shop from 8AM SLT Saturday, May 23rd to 8PM SLT Monday, May 25th.

Today has been a warm, sunny day. Next Saturday I'll go sail again so I am drawing out my swimwear and sunglasses, ready to go!

Salvaging on Sundays

Been a fast and furious week and I've barely had time to change clothes much less look for new ones, but I figured the last day of the week deserved some special attention

First up -- [Little Britain Designs] puts a new freebie up damn near every week and they are sharp and fun and edgy and cool and did I say, free? Well they are. And there are gifts to get in the lucky chairs to, or from camping if you have a couple of hours to kill (literally -- this is why you have alts.)

This week's offering is a Union jack shirt, natty jeans and some incredibly well done red suspenders. So kick on over there and be trendy British for a bit.


Utterly by chance I found out that [Rockerwear] is having another $25L sale for their entire collection. That alone would be would be worth posting about, but they also have some $10L gems in the men's section, lower level, and some fun freebies in their accessories wing.

The laced latex pants I have on & the hoodie are both from their $10 board, the banndana is a $25L purchase from accessories. Keep in mind they have tattoos as well, so browse and buy.

I personally like the rockerswear line of jeans, and their tanks, but they have cool t-shirts and hoodies and some nice sets. You can get a lot of bang for you buck at this sale.

Sometimes we look back and wonder how the hell we survived our own stupidity. Mostly I just smile a lot. It makes people wonder what I'm thinking, but I'll never tell : )

Every time I go to Cheap Love Song it brings on that flood of memories for me. And I smile.

Spudgy and Emilee are having a little celebration this weekend with a huuuge sale and a great live performer, and YOU need to be there.

Mandoaa Dragonash will be performing from 5 to 6pm, and from what I hear, he is NOT to be missed. Here's a couple of quotes from his bio...

The Things I Do....

I don't change my skin or shape very often. In truth, while I have a lot of skins in my inventory and several incarnations of my current shape, I tend to find one I like and stick. I've been the skin and shape you usually see me in for nearly six months. That said, sometimes it's fun to shake things up, to see if you can come up with an entirely new look -- and do it without breaking the bank.

Here are two looks, vastly different, and with the exception of a few pieces, free or dollarbie finds.

If you want to slide into your gothic androgyne look, hit up [Kosh] for the dollarbie Luvox Male Skin, currently up. It will be gone next week so grab it now. The shape I'm using here is the Josh shape that came with the Belleza release to group members. (Yes, you do have to pay $250 to join the group as was previously mentioned.)

After donning my shape and skin, I grabbed the shoulder bag also from [Kosh], and the Rusty Skulls necklace. The hand bracelet is a freebie from [GQ Start] and the other wrist wrap is from [Sable Rose] (this one was not free, but there are a set of denim wraps there that are.)

And next door to Kosh is [Concrete Flowers] where I picked up the Checked Jeans and Free Swag shirt. the hair is Bryce: Onion from [Savoir Hair].

The second look cost a little more clothes-wise, but as was announced in the group, [Fear & Clothing] is having a sale at the main store in Londoom, and [Perfectionist] is also having a sale -- this is a good time to let go of some Lindens. You can find jeans and some shirts for $50L, which is not a bad deal. But amid those sale items, look close because this skin is a freebie from [Perfectionist], as are the jeans*. The jacket is a sale item from [F&C], ($65L) and the undershirt is from the F&C store at Sn@tch City for $1L (or free). In this case, the hair is not free -- this is Army Crop from MADesigns ($300L) and you need a hair base scalp to wear it which the [Perfectionist] skin has.


*a note on the free jeans: they show up as secondary shirt layers, and older version of the clothing layers you some times see. You can wear regular shirts with them, just be aware that the clothing layers are a little different than what you usually see.

Pumpkins!

Silent Sparrow has a new outfit on the lucky chair just in time for Halloween.  This one is called Pumpkins!  It is elaborate, sophisticated and elegant.  It is a combination of pieces from the Toxine and Cygne lines.   I don't know how long it will be out but right now it is nice and crowded so letters turn over quickly.   This is a good time to check it out and get yours. 

I also received a notice from Shopportunity about a free men's Halloween outfit.  It has several parts to it... the shirt alone, the vest alone or in a combo. The pants come with a vest layer or as a separate pair of black pants....always handy to have.  
The skin I found was a great find for 20L at OnRez.  Its called *ES Emo Stars Boy and is an Eliot Eloh mod done by Evangeline Schism.  I like dark eyes and these are perfect and it includes the body tats, making it a great emo/goth skin.  You need to register for onrez service but its free and there are all kinds of free items throughout.  
Just some quick mention of some good sales this week: Sn@tch and Pulse have all their items at 50% off until Halloween.   Many of the other store owners are also participating in the sale. For an up to the minute note card of other shops ask/proposition one of the models and they can give you a note card that includes landmarks.   Second...Valiant also has a 50% off sale on everything in the store; clothes, skin, poses, shapes until Halloween night. There is also a unlucky chair in the store loaded with a variety of their products. This is a nice all men's store that is definitely worth checking out. Also freebies at the entrance.
