Valentine's day is less than a few weeks away, and pink and red hearts are beginning to pop up all over the grid. The great NYMPHETAMINE Hunt has begun and there are even some gifts for guys. Hunt ends on the 15th Feb.

Head over to the NYMPHETAMINE mainstore and grab yourself a ticket and wear it as you go hunting. You are looking for globes that once you find and click on, they will register on your ticket. When you have complete the hunt, your card will tell you "Congratulations, you found all items! Now you can go to the Prize Station to claim your special prize!" Head back to the start location and click the prize giver board and it will tell you what to do!

This is the size of the globes you are looking for. You have to find fifty in total, but they are all quite easy to find. There is an information notecard at the starting point that contains hints for each globe plus LM to the SIMS that you need to search, make sure you grab one.

After the hunt or even during, I recommend coming back to this SIM. There are a number of secluded spots for you and your partner to spend a little quality time together. Have some dinner, a glass of red wine, then slow dance under the stars, gazing deeply into each others eyes.

Many romantic pose ball animations have been setup all around the SIM. Perfect for getting close to your special someone.

New Male Skins at Frick!

Yeah you read that right!!!

Fricka Morgoth is no stranger to hunts, especially ones she holds in her own main store. Up til now, though, most have thought of her mainly doing female skins. Even more so she has a talent for making beautiful fantasy skins in a variety of shades and makeups.

Welp she's decided to branch out try and some male skins for her Holiday Hunt and what can I say but WOW!



She even included a male blue skin similar in style to her other cool (and unique) eye makeup styles.

A little Naughty, A little Nice, A lot Free

The Shopatorium group of vendors at Gallinas is having another mini hunt called the Turkey Trot. It began yesterday and runs through December 6th. You're not going to find a lot of clothes (ladies, there is a giftie for you in the 2dye4 store last time I looked) but you will find some interesting and fun gifts from most of the vendors there. Accessories, housewares, poses, hair, artwork and a fairly complete avatar except for skin and eyes from MEAT.

You are looking for whole Turkeys or Drumsticks in the shops. Some shops have one gift others two. The area is not huge, so poke in all the shops. Pictured (click for larger) is Meat's Bad Boy Santa Gift Pack complete with shape, clothing, boots, glove, hair, and a shotgun and shells at your back to chase off those pesky reindeer (sorry guys, for show only). You get a knit cap and hair from Fiction, a set of jingle bell nipple rings from Sable Rose, and that last smoke before you quit from Oddment. It's a little naughty, a little silly, but a fun double take on your traditional Santa get up.

Oddment offers a single prim poinsettia field to spice up your seasonal landscaping and it's copy so you can do a lot of spicing. Carla's Workshop has a clever breakable vase that resets itself.. which is just plain fun and I wish I could show it you in action. Comes with instructions. Pet's Shoppe and Erasing Drawings are both offering up very different original artwork for your in world home. Pet's got a traditional Winter landscape to evoke Peace on Earth and Erasing Drawings offers a little more introspective but nicely done mirror trick called "Vanity". Also pictured here is a pumkin charm necklace from Pookah Designs.

.:coLLisions:. has two tattoos, one for males and one for females. Lancer is a tribal style for upper back and arms.

Other offerings not pictured are leather wrist wraps from Sable Rose, two garden poses form ~Poetic Poses~, hair from Ali & Alli and offerings from Celtic Cache, Magpie Eclectic Designs, Wide Eyed, and Carla Collazo's Candles. Central TP point to the area here.

And another quickie: A good many vendors are holding Advent Gift giveaway's, with a new gift each day. Some will allow the previous gifts to remain until the end of the advent season (traditionally Christmas Eve) but others will only leave their gifts out for 24 hours. I picked up this little friend at Never Ever as part of the Advent Calendar being shared between N. E. and Robbish. It's animated, very friendly, and I'd suggest you get it today in case his buddies run away and there are no more pet rats to be found.

Great Giveaways

The Belleza group isn't free, but the entry fee ($250L) pays for itself the first time a new gift is released. In this case, it's the popular and really well done Ewan Skin, v.2, in multiple tones, both bald and with scalp hair. Belleza does beautiful work anyway, but tone definition andetail make this well worth the entry price. It's one of the few groups I hold on to regardless of what other group slots I need.

I've got the Belleza Ewan v2 tan skin on here, and set it against a couple of other pickups: the hair is .::MADesigns HAIR::. ~ NATE ~ Ferra CotSh #6. The Sweats are from Wilson's Designs - from the No Hunt. (comes with a shirt too but then you couldn't see the skin.)

Sim Hunt - Necrosis Noctis

There's a sim-wide hunt going on at the Necrosis Noctis sim, including hunt items from The Black Canary. You are looking for Pumpkins and the hunt gifts are not free, they run you $10L a shot and in some cases you may not know what you are getting (but most of the stores have promos, so check there first). The hunt only runs a week, I believe and it started on the 15th, but still, I regularly pay far more the $10L for Morrigan's stuff and the other designers are just as talented.

I'm wearing TBC's The Caged Bird: shirt, slacks tie, mourning band. Boots are from Redgrave (not free) hair is from MADesigns from the current MHOH2 hunt. Allyah is wearing The Unlucky: Victorian unisex, shirt, corset and bloomers. Her hair is Gothic Neko from Ambion in the same hunt - Ambion is next door to The Black Canary and they are also offering an autumnal skybox. Stockings from Sfp (not free), Boots from Redgrave (not free)

Halloween Loco Poco style!

They have done it again! The dynamic duo of Damien Fate and Washu Zebrastripe, creators of Loco Pocos, have yet another amazing event set up for us to enjoy!

Loco Pocos Trick or Treat. The event is set up so you can play as either a Loco Poco or as a human.

When you arrive at Loco Poco Island, find your way here and click on the spooky pumpkin. For those of you that were lucky enough to do the Loco Poco Halloween hunt last year, you'll remember how much fun it was filling your pumpkin with loads of goodies.

When you arrive, grab yourself a pumpkin shaped candy bag. Then start banging on lots of doors to collect your goodies.

A little warning, some of the residents that live in this village aren't particularly fond of trick or treaters.

They keep their goodies and candy to themselves and will give you a good fright to try and scare you away. Be strong and all your door knocking will reap a wonderful reward!

Black gummy bears are a witches favourite treat, besides chocolate coated bat wings.

What's with the rusty key in my pumpkin? Hmmm...wonder what that's for?

Hunting for the Casual

Most of the hunts in September (and there were a lot of them) are ending on the 30th if they haven't already, so time to make those crucial decisions about which to hit for last minute finds.

The Pretzel Hunt was officially over on Saturday, but as of this morning, Indi Designs still had their offering up: Harper, a sleek casual look (men and women) with a turtleneck, and two sets of subtle plaid pants in black and grey.

The choker I have on is the offering from Sable Rose: The Poisoner's Men's Choker (also a different gift, the Poisoner's Wife, in the same box for the ladies). Easy silver accents, resizable and very cool.

And while not a hunt item, but limited and there is a lucky chair in McChucks store at Clay. These are one pair of the two "Shoe of the Month" offerings for only $20L. The detail on these are amazing and really, if you need a pair of special chucks, you can probably find them here.

The Lucky Chair offerings change with each letter, so it's well worth waiting for. I think there are three or four different pairs of specialty chucks in the chair.

Things not to skip in the Skipping Stones Hunt

The Skipping Stones hunt runs through the end of the month and while there's not a lot of clothes for men, there are some very, very cool prizes worth grabbing.

Mostly summer themed, there are clever and creative offerings including this dock from [chanimations #16] that comes not only with the dock and sitting animations but incorporates a very fun "stone in mid skip" set of posed sets for great pics, including water ripples and a stone for your hand. The poses are more or less feminine but there's enough unisex ones to make it worth grabbing, plus it's a nice, light addition to any water feature you might have access to.

Another really nice set is this full conversation porch from #07. [Second Spaces]. It's a complete set with sits and a nice relaxed feel to the whole thing. Do rezz it in build mode and take it up the same way. Rezzes as one piece but the sofa, ottoman, cushions table and accessories aren't linked, so you can use it as a whole installation or in pieces.

Another full set with some chuckles is #05. [Frop!]'s DayDreaming Trundle Bed. Two fun poses on the trundle (one sleeping, one chilling) and a spinning animaton on the stool.

From 41. [the Sea Hole] comes "Drinks Crazy crooked Steampunk-ish House". At 107 prims, it's big, but it's got some fine detail and its a seriously usable space if you have the land for it (needs slightly more than a 512 plot.) There's some incredible light and texture elements, and the whole look is something between the Adamm's Family, Strawberry Shortcake, and Psycho. An odd combination but one that works in all the best ways.

#38. [Reek] offers you a smaller domicile in the Lyric Skybox. Basic box but again, nice lighting and texture elements, not dark inside at all. The outside is logo stamped but inside it's light and amazingly usable and fun.

There are some clothes for guys; light weight colorful fun casual wear like this Retro Chic set of shorts and a lavendar button down from # 26. [Shiki Design]. The shirt is prim collared and cuffed, making it wearable with a lot of things, but by itself, it kind of makes me want to spend the day at the beach.

12. [NachtMusik] offers you this Indie Kid set with shorts and a shirt (there's an argyle sweater in there too). And a surprise modern plaid couch -- so when you set up in your new skybox or steampunk mansion, you'll have new furniture to go in it.

If you are in need of footwear, 14. [Duh!] offers up these Grey Leather Work Boots. I got a similar set to this in another hunt and I get a surprising amount of use out of them. Nice detail, resizable and fun.

#39. [Addict] had what may be my favorite outfit of the lot. It's a casual look, crop pants , tee and a vest, but it also comes with accessories: a nicely done razor blade necklace, the tiger eyed cross bracelet (above)that I am wearing a lot, and bandanas for your pocket and wrist. The set goes really nicely with the flip flops and prim feet that I picked up at [+grasp+] as a group gift (not part of the hunt.) It's just a nice easy look and all the pieces can be worn with other things.

And last but not least, #37. [Republica] offers up this striped beach umbrella set (there's a strawberry themed one too) to make your day at the beach comfortable and relaxing. Poses, component pieces and most importantly: they didn't forget the sun screen.

I have to thank Vina and some other very kind ladies who are sweet enough to do some of these hunts and provide me with notecards of stuff of interest to guys. I'm gonna have to throw a luau to thank them all properly.

Again, the hunt ends at the end of the month. You are looking for a glowing stone, but none of them were particularly difficult to find and in this batch, well worth the time it took some places to rezz fully.
