Dress up... dress down

After so much casual, I thought I'd start a little more formally, but we'll get to the informal soon enough.

Adam N Eve offer a $1L grey pinstripe suit in their bargain basement. There's some other gifts for men too if you know where to look -- the main store is huge and a little confusing, but worth the look so when you do have a few Linden in your pocket you can come back. (The other men's items in the bargain basement have "demo" stamped on them so don't pull them -- it's $1L you can use better elsewhere.)

Also in the men's store is this free gift: Catwalk Grey polka dot shirt, with a satiny look. It's a short-waisted shirt, so if you don't want a little ab showing, you need high-waisted pants or a belt, or you can do as I did and where the bottom half of a t-shirt tuck to cover the gap so I could wear it with the jeans I got from Rockerwear's $25L sale a month or so back.

Now that I've shed the suit for jeans let me point you to A:S:S and urge you to both get on the Subscribo in the store and to check it often. These low rise jeans were a Midnight Mania win and the owner, Photos Nikolaidis, is known for loading his boards frequently and then pushing the delivery when he hits his numbers, which means he loads them up again. He's generous in his group gifts and his regular prices are incredibly reasonable.

The pentacle t-shirt hoodie I have on is a gift from Damiani -- the hood itself is detachable with nice detail on the drawstrings. (There's actually a lot of things in the Damiani gift, soccer shirts and a pair of St. Patty's jeans and shirt. The gift bag is on the second floor.) There are also three sets of jeans for free above the gift bag and shirt.

Then I darted over to hooorenbeck to pick up these awesome blue and white nylon trainers: sneakers for the non-Brits. You don't have to be in group to grab any of these, so don't hesitate.

The Bloody Heart shirt in this is a hold over from Hawker House's valentine gift, but fun and slightly different from the sweet valentine designs we saw in February. It's a shirt layer with a tuck (always nice) and I've set it off with Lapointe & Bastchild's "Gothica Death" spiked boots, also free, and just inside the men's gothic section.

The jewelry I'm wearing is from Jordan's Jewelry on Vancouver Island in the Alley shops. There are four pieces: a thumb ring, a silver mirror ring, a turquoise bead bracelet and a silver link bracelet. Supposedly two pieces are for men and two for women but I liked all of them and didn't have to do much resizing to make them fit. They are simple to wear and nicely done.
