RFL - I'm a Survivor

I've survived cancer. Twice. I'm not going to go into a big sob story here, because that's not what this post is about, and besides, I was lucky. This is about the Relay For Life in SL and the money they're trying to raise for cancer research.

The RFL Clothing Fair is going on through March 22nd, and I want you to go spend or donate money so that more people can say they were lucky too. I'm giving the following beautiful full outfit from Bare Rose to the person who spends or donates the most.
The Eclipse Knight comes with everything you see here except the skin, shape, eyes, and hair. There are leg parts for furries also (not shown).

To get this great gift from a grateful cancer survivor, all you need to do is go to the clothing fair, spend lots of Linden Bucks on great stuff, or just make a donation in any kiosk, and send me a notecard with your FULL avatar name and a copy of your transaction history by March 23rd.

I'll anounce the winner here on the 24th of March.

Anniversary Contest

I just spent over an hour checking all of the profiles in the FFFM group to see how many newbies are in it. Why? Because I totally forgot about the contest that Illusory wanted to have.

The results are a bit confusing to me. I haven't tried to put the idea of having a poster or box at freebie areas except for the Free*Style main store. That was only put up yesterday, as Creamy was out of town and I COMPLETELY forgot about the whole thing.

The group is a happy success. We now have over 100 members, and quite a few of them are newbies. There are more people in the group who are older than I am though, which tells me that this group is probably long overdue.

The only person who mentioned having links on other blogs is a person who called him/herself B1lack, and didn't leave any other contact info. We now get several hundred hits on this blog per day just from referring sites. We're getting 700 to 900 hits per day total depending on whether or not there's a new post. So, there's the long explanation of why 1st place has been forfeited, and 2nd place goes to Ann who is a fellow blogger for Inspired, and was the first person to mention starting a group AND having info at freebie areas. I can't find her SL name to give her the prize though LOL.

Oh! Forgot to mention the SLU Forum. We're only getting about 1 to 3 hits per day from that site. The idea to have designers who are friends make something special for us to blog about and offer advertising....well, I don't have any designer friends LMAO!!!

Free Finds For Men does not accept items for review, nor do we offer advertising of any sort for any designers. It's not because we don't like them : ) It's a "political" stand if you want to call it that. We will always remain unbiased, and will have no part in any of the competitive nature of the SL fashion community. We LOVE everybody. Well, not really, but you know what I mean.

1 Month Anniversary Contest!

Yesterday marked our first month in the blogging community, and I really want to mark the occasion.

We now get approximately 300 readers on days where we don't update, and over 500 on the days that we do! That's pretty impressive I think. My only problem with this is that I don't believe we're reaching our target audience.

Soooo, with that said, I'm putting my money where my mouth is and offering 1000L to the person who comes up with the best idea for us to reach new players. *Keep in mind that we're trying to reach newbs who may not know anything about blogs yet.

Sitting at an infohub and randomly dropping our address on people doesn't count. We do that already, and it's not that effective.

We will try every idea within reason, and that doesn't cost a lot of money. What we mean by that is that we can't afford to spend any more money than the prize money set aside for this contest. We're not making a profit here. The most effective will receive 1000L in world. Second place gets a 500L gift card to a shop of their choice which sells gift cards.
