Old Fashioned Steam-Christmas

For my first FFFM post I'd like to introduce you to the artwork of my friend Brigid Ashwood (in SL Brigid Yoshikawa) as well as some complimentary pieces for you to wear while you're looking fabulously fae-punk. Costumes are one of my major passions, and you'll see me blog pieces and props that speak of that. Suggested additions to this look are mechanical wings that you can flap and extend, goggles or a monocle, and rusty metallic skins like the ones found at Curio Obscura.


In the background you'll see Brigid's free set called Sepia 4 that feature her famous works Unlocked, La Fee Verte, Incomplete, and Energy Crisis. Brigid is a longtime resident who's had some incredible sims connected onto Caledon with quaint marketplaces, tiny fairy avatars and radiantly unique artwork that continues to inspire me. A while back I approached Brigid about her love of steampunk and fairies and suggested she combine the two in avatars. Her images soon leapt off the page with whirring insects and cog driven beauties, and are available inworld for free as well as on Xstreet here.
